A melody to all the graduating students
Everyone has a rhythm that makes an impression on him or her. Mine is a popular song titled Soldadito Marinero by Fito & Fitipaldis. In this special season I would like to dedicate this song to all the graduating students as a precaution to accompany with in the future.
This song describes a lonely navy sailor´s journey, to which he dealt with curiosity, passions and persistency. He began with a slow and cautious step toward an unknown future. During his trip he was continuously searching for his expectations. He thought what he picked was the most beautiful fulfillment of his expectations but in the end he found it like ¨tormentas¨ (thunders), which brought him misery.
Yes, our life is filled with challenges, traps, opportunities and choices. When facing to the unknown society and making any choices and decisions, we, like the navy sailor in the song, would normally be misled or influenced by the outside appearance and our preferences and make a regretful decision. Herein I sincerely play the melody of the navy sailor to allow you all to take a moment to reflect on your desires and goals, and to allow you to look at yourself as if looking into a mirror.
