新北市校友會吳理事長現任雍淳實業公司董事長有感外語能力對學生的重要性，爰與母校商務系合辦「2011 雍淳- 北商盃國際商務英語短片競賽」，希望能透過角色扮演、情境模擬及團隊合作，由參賽學生製作電影短片，嘗試展演國際商務人士在職場中應有的風範、表現及語言表達能力。本次短片競賽於4月15日經初審選出八組績優團隊入圍決賽，決賽於5月11日中午於八樓音樂廳舉行，吳理事長當天撥冗蒞臨指導並全程以英語致詞，致詞內容如下：
Today is one of the happiest day in my life. I come here. I am so proud to support for oratorical contest. As you know if the English oratorical contest succeeds, that will promote the fashion of learning English in NTCB. Every students will be interested in English, even love to study it. Usually student’s conversation will be all in Chinese to half in Chinese. This is the most hopeful of the sponsor. Now if the company recruits new members, they will think over your ability of English. Therefore, if your English is not good, your opportunity will be relatively decreased. Do you think that how important of English is with you? Finally, thank you so much to the organizer. You did a great job. Well done!
之後，播放最高分前七組英語短片，由校內外委員評選出前三名團隊，由吳理事長親自頒獎給獲獎團隊，整個活動歷時1.5小時，讓每位參與學生受益無窮。
